My S8 Active Replacement – My S8 active recently died due to failure of the OLED screen that was definitely starting to get some burn-in, and browsing through the various non-fragile phones I could not help but notice that the Power Armor 14 was on paper a bigger badder version of the S8 Active, heck it even looks like a blown up version of Samsung’s best rugged phone ever, as the included photos here show.

My S8 Active Replacement – My S8 active recently died due to failure of the OLED screen that was definitely starting to get some burn-in, and browsing through the various non-fragile phones I could not help but notice that the Power Armor 14 was on paper a bigger badder version of the S8 Active, heck it even looks like a blown up version of Samsung’s best rugged phone ever, as the included photos here show.

Pretty fast, durable, and long battery life… – So first off the phone is very slightly slower than my previous due to the 6 rather than 8gb ram from before. This doesn’t make much difference it’s just barely noticeable. As far as the rest it’s amazing. Very easy to use and easy to use it over a long period of time. Have not had it heat up even gaming yet, and haven’t even managed to accidentally nick the thing yet. It came at 85% charge and with everything intended. Tracfone did not want me to use it so I did have to transfer the old sim card, but it’s excellent at the moment.

Not a Great Buy!! – Sorry guys and gals. I have had 3 rugged phones in the past 3 years. 2 were Ulefone. Both of the phones developed screen issues and Ulefone didn’t give a hoot. I looked them up at first and saw the good reviews and decided to purchase them because I am in the construction world and i needed what I thought was a “rugged” phone. Not long after the first purchase the phone would go blank/black. Upon a fast reset it would return to normal. Not a biggie right. Eventually it went blank/black and totally unresponsive. I tried my hardest to get some sort of response with Ulefone to no avail. Well, I turned not so smart and got another phone. More expensive and what I thought would be a good fit. The second Ulefone didn’t last as long as the first. I also went blank/black. But fewer times until it no longer worked. I tried extensively to get to Ulefone for a fix. I was even willing to pay for the fix. Didn’t get anywhere. Just rubbish, insensitive emails. OK, I am in the Bahamas. But I was willing to ship or fix or pay or whatever to have a good phone. Ulefone, in my opinion, is one of the worst phone companies hands down. It would take a miracle for me to get another Ulefone. Hope you have better luck than I did.
