AT&T claims this is not High Def Voice capable – I love this phone because I am very hard on them(One took a swim and two others did not pass the drop on concrete with a hardened case in the last year). I needed help the get this phone set up on AT&T and now they say it will be decommissioned when they go to 5G. I hope they are wrong but I am not happy at this point.

ATT does not support this phone – Three trips to the ATT store and no success in getting phone service with ATT. These ratings have nothing to do with the phone, I actually liked what I saw of the phone, especially the keyboard. What I am about to say is my opinion based on my experience which maybe entirely misunderstanding, Here is what happen, the ATT employees were visibly and verbally upset I had purchased a phone off the internet. In the three trips this was made plain on several occasions. Right off the bat they told me the phone was not compatible with their network. When they inserted the first sim card it gave a message of network unavailable not that ATT does not service the phone. When I asked questions all I got was answers like the phone is not compatible, and you should not buy phones of the internet. The last time I was in the store phone world receive text but not phone. When I pointed that out and stated it looks like your network is connected to my phone so why does it not work. The phone indicated it was in 4G mode. The employee stated it would not work because it was 4G. When I pointed out both my wife’s and my old phone were both 4G, so that could not be the problem, I was told they are going to 5G. When I kept asking questions the employee and two other that got involved became combative. My phone is my lifeline, I needed phone service, so I had them reactivate my old phone. Here is my take. I came to the nontechnical conclusion that my SIM card was programmed to not allow the phone to connect but the minimum function texts part of the network was connected. Conjecture on my part but here for you to consider. Would appreciate a response from the Manufacture.

A great phone at a great value – I am a MetroPCS customer and was looking for a new phone to replace my LG Aristo 3 that died. I looked over all the upgrade options that MetroPCS offered but none of them were very good quality. I stumbled across the Ulefone Armor X8 when I searched for a water-resistant phone. I was amazed to see all the options as well as the price. I decided that if I could get a water-resistant phone instead of buying a phone and a $50 water-resistant case, I’d be ahead of the game.

Not worth it – I got this phone because I had the armor X5 for a few years, and it did well until, eventually, I dropped it so much that when I toddler son dropped it, the lighting on the screen just wouldn’t come on anymore. That’s another story.

updated back to 5 stars once AT&T figured out how to give me the proper sim – Went to AT&T store again. They gave me *another* sim. This one works fine for both cellular and mobile data, and now the UI says ‘voLTE’ and ‘4G’ 🙂

Great Phone! – I wrote a review back for this product in February and was not very satisfied with the phone, because my screen was messed up and it didn’t work very well. However, it was very easy for me to return the phone and a replacement was sent. I’ve now been using the replacement for 6 months and it is a fantastic phone! I don’t like the size (which is why I am giving it 4 stars) since it is quite big. However, it has a good battery life, nice camera, and good memory. I use it with tracfone and it works well. The GPS doesn’t always work, but that could also just be because I live in an area with no phone service most of the time. Overall, it is a good and sturdy phone. 🙂
