Pleased with phone. – I have never been one for fancy phones, but was getting frustrated when I could not download apps on my last phone because you weren’t allowed to put them on your SD card. There wasn’t enough memory to accomplish much with the built in memory. That being said, I was looking for an upgrade when I purchased this phone. I still do not have a lot of apps on my phone, but have not had any problems getting what I need. Overall, I have been very pleased with this phone. It has had a good battery life. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a basic phone.

Nice Upgrade but… – Not going to repeat what’s already been reviewed on size, memory, camera, etc. Will mention Smart View function that allows us to stream phone screen on Roku TV. Also the loss of ability to use phone as a Hotspot. I could teather my older Galaxy J7 but not this one. Function not allowed by carrier. Not overjoyed at all buttons being on right side of phone. Volume keys on left were much easier to use with thumb but I am getting used to it. USB port on old J7 started to get intermittent. This was nice upgrade. It does have USB-C so old cables don’t work. Samsung Smart Switch worked well.

Amazing but not perfect – This has an amoled display like those expensive TV’s (self luminous emitting pixels, no backlight) . In general it’s fabulous, super bright even at 50% intensity. Movies and games look great.

malfunctioned – I bought the phone, set up and transfer of my number was easy and quick, then things started to go bad. First, my memory card from my old phone was installed but the new phone would not show the pictures I had on it. Then, after downloading 10-15 aps, the phone only allowed me to put a few on the homescreen after that it locked up. Spent about two hours with Tracphone techs and they could not get anything to work. Tracphone reps with accents that were very hard to understand, they kept wanting me to do the same thing over and over again, one tech after another. Anyway, I went to Amazon to get a return label, and they were terrific, I told them I was going to reorder the same phone, they said no problem, I would have another in two days. I hope this one works better, but have been a Tracphone and Samsung user for 15 years and will not stop because of one bad experience.

Changed the button configuration – Its a smart phone. Functionality is about the same as other phones. But they put all the buttons on one side, the right. I am left handed. I still accidentally turn my phone off after several months of use. But, it is so cheap! LOVE that there is no monthly fee. I buy about $40 of time twice a year. Can’t beat that.
