Item does not come with a cord or charger – The phone is nice in the hand, the android os is snappy and quick, the Sony stamina mode makes this phone last forever on battery life, overall it is a great phone with amazing true to life color on in your pictures, really disappointed however the listing shows it comes with a charger and cord but it indeed does not

Very nice phone – I got this directly from Sony. The phone is smaller in width than I expected. I knew it was smaller than most but but it’s very thin. The length is nice. There is decent weight to the phone and the camera is nice. The colors in the screen are bright and I have not experienced any lag. The headset included is nice but I’m not sure I would have paid extra for them. There are much cheaper headsets that give similar quality.

The hottest phone out there! – This phone was GREAT. Everything reviews said stood true. It’s getting android 13 shortly too. It’s unfortunate that even in November in Florida, the phone gets so hot in the car or in my shaded patio watching YouTube videos or disney+ that it’s rendered useless and throttled heavy. Too much power in a small phone. Also, my experience on Verizon showed something wrong with the upload speeds on the modem. Didn’t have the issue with the 5 iii. Even though it’s compatible with band 77, it NEVER uses band 77. It will connect to 5gUW which is technically band 77, but the speeds and band discovery apps showed its actually on band 66. This made my pixel 6a immensely faster downloading, uploading and basically all tasks more efficient. I had to return the device and I’m heartbroken because this is the only physical dual sim phone available for Verizon(other than older xperia models.) I sold my 5 iii to get the 5 iv. I can’t go back to the 5 iii because the volume was better on the iv. The screen got brighter on the iv. They finally got rid of the Google assistant button on the iv. If you skipped to the end, the 5 iv is better than the 5 iii but had connectivity issues and huge overheating issues. And I NEVER even used the camera to achieve the heat issue. Just regular use not inside a home. Maybe I’d buy again hoping I had a bad model? Idk. $1000 seems like too much. My $300 pixel 6a is good enough for value-features ratio. Hope this experience helps.

Overheats and drops screen refresh rate with simple tasks – While doing the simplest tasks (browsing reddit) in moderate temperature weather, the phone will overheat. Even indoors! When it does, the phone drops the refresh rate to 60hz and becomes extremely laggy.

Great Phone, just expensive – Was glad to able to purchase it in a bundle, only to find out they will have a sale 30 days later. There goes my $100 ooof.

  9. G. K (verified owner)

Underrated Phone by Sony – All the flack about the price was pretty much countered with the pre-order bundle and I am enjoying both the phone and the headphones. The phone is slim, tall, and compact like my previous device the Galaxy S7. I’m used to the 21:9 ratio and I had no trouble adjusting to it on the Xperia 5 IV. The cameras are amazing and I can fine-tune them like I would on my Alpha cam.
