Samsung Galaxy J3 excellent Back-up T-Mobile/GSM Cellphone – I purchased this cellphone to serve as a backup for my other T-Mobile cell. Since T-Mobile is a GSM system, I removed the sim and placed it in this Samsung and it connected perfectly to T-Mobile. One point about cellphones and networks, like ATT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc. The days of locked to one network cell phones are over. The other requirement for using a cellphone on a network is (for now) is it CDMA or GSM. The FCC has ordered the consumer to be allowed to have the network “unlock” the cell at the request of the owner. The only reason not to do so is an outstanding bill. I always buy a cellphone from Amazon, because of the speed of delivery and excellent warranty. I pick ones that has been around a few years so I can get accurate information about reliability, battery life, and usability. One of the things I’ve found is that some brands offer very breakable micro USB ports. I like manufacturers that offer wireless charging to prevent problems with the micro USB port. Despite the claims that certain wireless chargers may charge a few cells simultaneously, disregard this nonsense, because each phone must be aligned a special way to for wireless charging. The Samsung Galaxy J3 is a great backup cell and 16gigs is adequate for most apps. Remember the more apps you use the quicker the battery discharges, usually at the wrong time.

A great replacement phone – This a rather obscure model (IMHO) that my father received from T-MO. When his J3 broke (wouldn’t charge the battery) I looked for a reasonably priced replacement. And the refurbished J3 was the right choice. The unit arrived with protective plastic over the bezel and it more or less looked brand new. The screen/bezel was without flaw. The unit powered up immediately and once I transferred the SIM from the broken phone to this unit it came online without issue. Just make sure that you buy the right phone for your network provider as the phone is “locked” to a specific provider, e.g., T-MO. Replacement phones can be expensive and at $100 this is a steal.

Great buy and Inexpensive device – Awesome lil phone my second one all the systems work Great for a small device it packs a big punch

  4. H. T (verified owner)

worked great – Was a bit nervous buying this after seeing some of the negative reviews…but the phone worked beautifully for us. We got the phone, popped in our TMobile sim card from our old phone (this one did not come with a sim card), and then the phone booted up and registered with no issues at all. Also, the phone looks like almost new and was packaged nicely.

Good replacement phone – This was a good buy since I mess my previous phone on Christmas. I’m still using it for the time being. The phone didn’t give me any problems or issues and my TMobile SIM card fit right on in. All my information transfer to the phone with no problems or issues. Like I said before good bye

Right description – Nice phone but Ip number do not work

  8. O. A (verified owner)

A J3 with gusto – This is my third J3. I have a problem with taking my phone out on construction and occasionally break the screen. Amazon still sells the thing for a good price so I buy it. This particular J3 is a bit better than the rest. It has an onboard compass. plenty of storage, and a particularly good screen.

  10. J. S (verified owner)

Wrong phone – This product was supposed to be, and advertised as, a T-Mobile phone to which it was not. It was a Verizon phone and when Amazon was contacted regarding this mistake I was informed they were going to investigate it and yet I have heard nothing back. The phone is a remanufactured Verizon phone and has significant issue maintaining connectivity with T-Mobile’s Network. Otherwise, the phone would be adequate.
