This Device is Worth Much More than it Costs – The first thing to keep in mind about this Oukitel WP5 is that it’s an economy 4G Android device. As such it I have not evaluated it the same way I have my 5G high-end phones. I’m a stronger believer in getting what you pay for, with the addendum that you should not expect an inexpensive alternative to perform the same way as a premium product. If you keep this in mind then this Oukitel is one of the best alternatives you’ll find to a high-end device. This is the third Oukitel I’ve owned at different price points. Like the others this WP5 has an exceptional battery life and is really tough phone capable of withstanding strong shocks. It’s performance is far superior to any other phone I’ve come across for its retail price of well under 200-dollars as of this writing. The 4G capacity is hardly slower than that of my 5G devices, it’s quite snappy, and comes loaded with the usual apps one would expect. I of course have not “tested” the water-proof claim of this device, but I did accidently drop one of my other Oukitels in a bucket of soapy water while mopping the floors, from which it emerged totally unscathed so I’m reasonably confident that the same would apply with this one. The camera of this phone is OK; again, not what I’ve gotten from premium devices that retailed for MANY HUNDREDS of dollars more than this one but comparable to those that go for three times the price here. I strongly recommend this phone for those who don’t want to spend a lot for a high or even mid-priced one. It’s exactly what I’d get if I was getting a phone for my kid; if he or she wants a high-end popular brand have him or her get an after-school job and pay for at some of it her/himself. It’s also an ideal choice as a back-up device or a second phone if for some reason you want two separate lines, for anyone that doesn’t need all the bells and whistles of expensive devices, or for whom a phone need not be another item of technological conspicuous consumption. It should definitely be appreciated for what it delivers as is.

Great Battery Life, Bad Fingerprint Reader, Signal Strength Middling – This is basically a cell phone built into a portable battery case. This is heavy, blocky, but extraordinarily durable. Because of how insulated the phone is, the signal strength is compromised and is not as strong as other phones. Using this phone inside, it does not have a strong a connection to any wireless, and cell phone tower connections can be weak in areas that are also well shielded.

Powerful and rugged phone – My teenage son brakes stuff easily and needed a rugged phone with bigger battery and this phone all that plus good amount of memory for games and apps. It has huge battery so as expected it is bulky. Most of 8000mAh battery packs are bigger in size than this phone.

Sound issues – For some reason the phone will not use the speaker to talk if there’s another app in the background that was using the speaker even if it’s not working at the time. So if I have Pandora or YouTube in the background and I make a phone call nobody can hear me. Phone calls cannot go through when you are actively touching your phone very inconvenient for a stay-at-home mom who has a lot of medical issues and needs to contact her doctor’s constantly
