I blame Amazon for this. – After my wife’s phone died suddenly we needed a replacement. Having just purchased a car that had a built-in wireless charger I thought let’s get one with wireless charging. Easier said than done because Amazon does a very poor job and identifing and making features searchable. Probably spent hours looking for phones with QI wireless charging. In fact I was told that this phone didn’t have QI, after actually being on the phone with a representative from Amazon they told me that the V35 had QI. I placed an order for it that was supposed to be next day and after placing the order it was 4 days away from being ordered. Kind of upset I canceled the order and discovered that the v40 did in fact have QI while on the phone with Amazon, we switch the order to the LG v40. Because it was already late they told me that they would try to expedite the order. And that never happened. So we got the phone and the phone itself is branded AT&t even though it says it’s a unlocked. It’s still full of all the AT&t, while we have T-Mobile. Strangely my wife gets texts from people with other carriers and she can send me texts but when I try to send her something she never gets it. The phone won’t update because it’s not connected to AT&t’s network. Amazon get your act together properly identify the products that you sell. You’ve wasted hours of my time. And as far as this review goes it’s part of the game they play this particular page to sell a LG v40 phone no longer has pricing on it and will be buried. It’s funny how they will have multiple products under one group of reviews when it suits them, and multiple reviews for essentially the same product also when it suits them. It’s a game, I know, I used to trust the reviews, it’s the retail section of Amazon’s bread and butter. It’s what drives their sales, and like much today in 2020, I feel it’s broken. Oh yeah, and don’t buy this phone unless you have AT&t but then if you have AT&t they’re going to send you the T-Mobile version of the phone, and vice versa.

Phone is fine. The warranty registration is a hassle! – The phone is fine, so far. Battery runs out a bit too fast. Trying to register for the 2nd year warranty offered by LG is such a hassle bec the IMEI number is NOT in LG database… that’s what LG Customer Support told me, a month’s gone by since and still waiting for words about this from LG…. how could this be?!! Very suspicious here??!!!!

GREAT phone – not sure why other have bad reviews with this phone, this is the top rated LG, and probably the most expensive for a reason.. Sold at ATT for 900+, but not worth that, but 60% off here at Amazon, it is..the phone is soooooo easy to work with, very intuitive, fast, so many great things… great camera, period….i am sure there are better phones out there, but not for this price…i recently returned 2 others that i wanted to buy to replace this one due to work related issues, but these other phones were not the caliber of this phone.. someone here said this phone is not durable, yet I am a contractor, and have dropped this off of ladders, 10′ tall, more times than I can imagine, and it kept of ticking, for almost a year…i of course got a good case, but still, this phone can handle almost anything and just kept running great.. great speakerphone when your hands are busy, etc… just GREAT, GREAT, GREAT is all I can say, especially for this price……

Good bargain for an old flagship but beware which seller you get yours from… – I have purchased this phone twice now, for myself and my partner. Each one came from different sellers. One sold a T-mobile version with unlocking software built into the phone, another sold an AT&T version with no clear unlock instructions. Both phones work great for our needs. I’ve had no problems with the T-mobile one and it is running an AT&T network card. I have yet to test out the presence or absence of the sim unlock in the other phone as it was intended as a wifi-only device.

No longer recieves calls after 3 months – I loved this phone. I bought one when it first released to replace my V10 and bought this one recently when I broke the screen on mine and brought it in to fix and wondered if I should just get a new phone but LG has killed their phone dept so not a lot of LG options so I wound up buying another of the same model. It worked great and I loved not having to get used to a whole other phone. Then three months in it started acting up and I could no longer receive most calls, here and there a call would come through but I had people texting me daily to let me know they called and it went straight to voicemail and my phone would have zero record of a missed or rejected call. I thought maybe its the SIM card so I went and got it changed. The same thing happened so it wasn’t the SIM. It was the phone. I factory reset it in case that could solve my problem and still the problem persists so I ended up going back to my old V40 whose battery life ain’t great but hey it can perform basic cellphone functions perfectly. Priorities eh.
