Moved from a LG V20 to a G8 ThinQ – I’ve been a huge LG fan since moving over from Samsung years ago. I absolutely loved my LG V20, but because I’m such a software freak, I wanted a phone that offered more than 4 gigs of RAM memory. Many people think that 4 gigs is plenty for a phone, but I heartily disagree, especially if you’re software intensive.

You don’t have to spend a fortune for a great phone – After running into memory issues with my 3 year old G7, I decided to upgrade to the G8 rather than spend 5 times that amount on flagship through a 3-year contract with my wireless carrier. I have to say, this little guy is handling everything I’m throwing at it. LG’s phones have always been criminally underrated and underappreciated, and the G8 is no exception. On average,I’m using about 3.5 Gb of the 6 GB of RAM, and around 40 GB of the 128 GB storage space. There’s also a micro SD card slot if you need more space. I do think, based on its current performance, I should get at least a couple of years out of it before having to upgrade again. I am impressed that LG is still rolling out updates to this phone. It’s currently running on Android 11 (not the latest, I know, but for me, good enough) and security updates as recently as last month. The phone (from Edge Cellular) looked brand new and has functioned with no problems since I took it out of the box. The only downside I can see is that it’s a little harder to find phone cases for this one; LG shuttered their mobile phone business shortly after the G8 came out, so there aren’t a million cases for this, but there are some out there and you can probably find one that will work for you. I highly recommend this phone if you want a great unit that handles your day-to-day needs but doesn’t cost a fortune.

Not impressed with it at all – Phone looked brand new, but the battery life is the worst I have ever had on a phone and it has some sort of glitch in the touch screen that makes a double tap even when you havent removed your finger from the screen. The finger print reader works about a third of the time. I am trying to send it back with any luck

LG makes Life Good – I wanted to not like this phone but it made itself irresistible. I love the weight, speed, functionality of the G8 ThinQ. LG definitely made great phones…

Great Phone and a good price – Have had it for about a month now and have had no issues. The company ships it right after the order and I got it several days earlier than was shown. It was packaged well and undamaged. Looks like new and works great. I did disable the verizon part and installed the google phone and texting as it works better and verizon charges for the apps that are free from google, (call screen and text screen) I would definitely buy from this company again, (not amazon)

3 year old used phone batteries…Not the Best. – I appreciate wanting to sell recycled phones for the environment. I really do. But this ain’t it. This phone is already 3 years old, and the refurbishing they do doesn’t replace the battery. It’s just cosmetic. The battery life is not good, and this one kept shutting itself off, which is why I returned it.
