SIM Card help pls – I just recieved my Cubot X30 today and attempted to insert my SIM card, In a previous question it was said that it works with boost yet it does not seem to be working with my boost mobile/sprint SIM card and says emergency calls only, any fix? Everything about the phone was great though, the wifi seems to be a little slow out of the box.

Won’t work on US towers after 3g towers shut down – The phone is fantastic! The only drawbacks are as follows, the battery life, dismal, and the dpap t thpapt they won’t work on US towers when the 3g towers are taken down. While they are in fact 4g, international phones use 3g towers to give you your 4g service. The shut down of all major companies 3g towers means we are limited on using these on the networks here in the states. I have one and my wife uses another, while att leather on the networks I got smacked with sundown program crap. So I’m on TMobile until it takes down it’s 3g towers, then I have to buy two new phones after just getting used to these phones. I live the phone, but I won’t be able to continue using it on any US carriers by the end of this month. Such a shame.

May have to get a different version – I’ve had several of these phones and this one I may send back because it constantly disconnect from my truck bluetooth radio and it doesn’t have a notification light so I don’t know when I have new messages then the I changed my setting so my text messages will not show up on the screen at all and converted back to show all the messages on the lock screen which is something I don’t want when my phone is just lying around. Then the lights up with every bump in the road while driving or movement you make while on the table or in the bed it’s constantly lighting up as if you are trying to unlock it and that is so irritating. The battery suck also I can’t nearly do half the things with this phone as I did with the previous version. But it was quickly shipped and the price is good because I don’t want the phones with all the added bloatware and this phone is excellent for that.

Good for the price – First off, this phone is great for the $179. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before buying. The battery life was amazing the first day with several hours only using 5%, but the very next day and ever since is very poor (I’ve had this phone for a few weeks now) and only lasts a couple hours. The wifi chip is also very weak, I have 600 mb wifi but my phone only gets about 30, and only 10 if I’m a short distance away. Also, the face recognition is very good but the fingerprint reader is almost non-existent and does not read any of the prints I’ve tried and while Face ID can unlock the phone, only touch ID is accepted for biometric authentication or logging in for apps, Face ID should work for this too. The screen is also not very bright on maximum, it’s much better than my last phone but still disappointing. And for anyone wondering about gaming, this runs CoD and PUBG pretty well but can not even install Fortnite, probably due to the GPU because all the other system requirements are met. For the price it is fairly good but there are some flaws.

Cannot listen to headphones while charging – I really like this phone’s form factor. Before I bought this phone I researched the properties of the USB-c port. I required a phone that could charge while headphones were connected. I did find a comment somewhere that indicated yes, it could work this way. When I got the phone I tried my 2 adapters, neither worked. I bought the latest adapter on Amazon, one that worked with “most phones”. It didn’t allow charging either. I posted a question on the Amazon listing, no one responded. So I am sadly returning this phone. I’m really disappointed to see manufacturers remove the 3.5mm port and “replace” it with a USB-c audio out that only works some of the time.
