Do not purchase phones through carriers – I found out the hard Way that when you purchase a mobile phone through a carrier they won’t unlock it until it’s been activated for a year even though I had paid full retail for it. This is the same phone I would have received from my New Carrier, but at a better price and unlocked should I decide to change carriers again. I Will never purchase a phone through ANY carrier ever again because if you change carriers prior to keeping it activated for a year, you’ll end up with a brick or in my case two bricks (two phone family plan).

Good Value for a Refurb – I needed to get a replacement phone for my mother that was compatible with Mint Mobile. This phone which is a T-Mobile branded phone fit the bill perfectly. It is completely unlocked so no issues inserting the Mint Mobile SIM card from her old phone. When I got the phone, it still had a 50% charge. It came with a 3rd party charger and a SIM card tray removal pin. The phone screen was immaculate. I didn’t see any dead pixels. The back had a couple of minor gouges but it didn’t detract from the phone’s appearance or functionality. I had the phone put into a case I purchased the same time as the phone so the back is covered up anyway. The phone charged all the way to 100% and it seems to hold the charge well. This phone has all of the T-Mobile bands and my mom had no issues using it. For the price, it was a good value indeed.

Good for almost a year. – The phone lasted about a year. It has a hard time charging if it’s not held in a certain position. I’ve always kept the charging port clean and typically only charge it once a day at night. It now needs to be charged partially through the day. As early as six months into having it I’m told by people i speak with that they have a hard time hearing me. I noticed that if the phone isn’t completely vertical I get poorer call quality as I’m being told from others. Additionally, my phone doesn’t receive and transmit all text messages. This also is being proven by others with screenshots who share the both the same carrier (T-Mobile) and other carriers. If you can spring for a nicer device get it.

This is NOT a 4G phone – The battery life is great and it works well with the T-Mobile network, but it is NOT 4G like the description says it is. Very disappointed!
